BEAUMONT, TX. (THECOUNT) — John Paredez Sr has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning vehicle crash in Beaumont, Texas.
Paredez, 55, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Eastex Freeway Saturday morning.

According to reports, Paredez was operating a Nissan Altima around 5 a.m. in the the 3800 block of Eastex Freeway, near Home Depot, when he rear-ended a GMC Yukon, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
Paredez was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.
The driver of the Yukon is cooperating with police and no arrests have been made, reports BeaumontEnterprise.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
