WAKE COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Vaiden Kimball of Wendell, NC, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night vehicle crash in Wake County.

Kimball, 27, was killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash near Swift Creek Saturday night.

According to officials, Kimball was operating a vehicle on Ten Ten Road near Johnson Pond Road, when for unknown reasons, her vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then collided with another vehicle head-on.

The person in the other car was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

According to reports, Kimball, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the violent crash.

She was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

According to Facebook, Kimball was a teacher at Primrose School of Hilburn. She was the mother of a young child.
