Broussard, LA. (THECOUNT) — John Latta of Lafayette, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday single-vehicle crash in Broussard.
Latta, 57, was killed Wednesday morning following a single-vehicle crash on East Main Street in Broussard.
According to police, Latta was operating a vehicle on W Main Street, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree and flipped over.
Latta was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lafayette Parish Coroner’s Office, reports KATC.
The Broussard Police Department says that Latta was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the violent crash.
Toxicology results are pending.
