TAMPA BAY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Brendan Hawkins, has been identified as the victim in a vehicle-versus-motorcycle hit-and-run collision Saturday night.

“Bee” Hawkins, 24, was killed after a motorcycle he was operating came into contact with a Honda in an apparent hit-and-run crash in St. Petersburg, Florida Saturday night.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, officers responded to a call of a motorcycle down near the intersection of 5th Avenue South and 37th Street South around 7:45 p.m. Saturday night. When officials arrived, they found Hawkins’ Suzuki motorcycle wrecked.

Officials determined that the vehicle, described as a red Honda or Hyundai, struck Hawkins and then fled the scene.

Hawkins, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
