CAPE CORAL, FL. (THECOUNT) — Austin Paul Manke, of Cape Coral, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal hit-and-run vehicle-versus-scooter crash on Cape Coral Bridge early Sunday.
Manke, 21, was killed in a hit-and-run crash while operating a scooter on the Cape Coral Bridge, just after midnight on Sunday.
According to reports, Manke was operating a motorized scooter on the Cape Coral Bridge when a driver struck him from the rear.
The driver then fled the scene, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers are looking for a possibly black in color vehicle with left front damage and a missing left side mirror, reports NBC2.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800 or Crime Stoppers.
