COLUMBUS, OH. (THECOUNT) — Abdirahman Salad has been identified as the teen involved in a fatal Columbus police-involved shooting Thursday, according to Friday morning reports.

Salad, 15, was armed with a gun when he was shot dead by officers who were responding to a reported robbery at a pharmacy store in Ohio’s capital city, police say.

According to reports, officers were responded to a report of a robbery in-progress when two deputies opened fire on Salad during an unknown confrontation Thursday evening.

Police haven’t publicly identified the officers involved.

Police said they had received multiple calls about the alleged robbery, reporting that people were running out of the store and that an armed suspect was involved, HoustonChronicle.

Salad was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

No officers were injured during the deadly incident.

The involved officer have not been identified as of Friday morning.
