PLAINFIELD, CT. (THECOUNT) — Plainfield, Connecticut police say, two people died in a Tuesday night house fire in Plainfield. One of the dead is reportedly a child.
Investigators say they found two people dead inside a Norwich Road home after the flames were extinguished. One of them was a 9-year-old child.
Firefighters were called to 885 Norwich Road at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. The flames were too intense for firefighters to enter the residence.
Police said the homeowner was outside when first responders arrived. The homeowner was taken to Backus Hospital with minor injuries, reports TurnTo10.
The names of the victims was not yet provided by officials as of Wednesday morning.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
