Miami Building Evacuated Over Odd ‘Vibrations’ Following Caribbean 7.7 Earthquake

MIAMI, FL. (THECOUNT) — People as far north as South Florida reported feeling shaking from a massive 7.7 earthquake that struck between Cuba and Jamaica Tuesday afternoon.

The Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed Tuesday that the Stephen P. Clark Center in downtown Miami was evacuated as a precaution as lingering ‘vibrations’ occurred throughout the structor.

The massive shaker was felt all the way north to Rockledge, Orlando, and Tampa, according to reports.

There is no word on injuries or damage at this time.

The quake struck about 70 miles from Granma, Cuba and was centered near Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center is yet to issue a written warning.
