MOUNTAIN HOME, AR. (THECOUNT) — Forrest L. Wood, the founder of Ranger Boats, and widely acknowledged as the developer of the modern bass boat, has passed away, according to Saturday reports.
Wood was also the namesake of the Walmart FLW Tour for sportfishing.
Wood has just passed away peacefully surrounded by family, including his beloved wife of 68 years, Nina Wood. This news comes four days after FLW announced he was in critical condition at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
On Facebook, the family expressed their sincere thanks to the medical team who cared for Wood. Funeral arrangements are currently pending and will be released shortly. We will update this story as more details are made available, reports Wired2Fish.
