WASHINGTON COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Odester Leggett of Jackson, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning single-vehicle ejection crash near Wagarville.
Leggett, 45, died after in a single-vehicle crash around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on US-43, according to the Alabama Highway Patrol.
Authorities say, Leggett was traveling as a passenger in an Acura MDX operated by 52-year-old Raymond James Green, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then make contact with a guardrail and overturned before coming to a rest.
Leggett, who was ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Green sustained severe injuries and was transported an area hospital, according to MyNBC.
ALEA troopers are still investigating.
