WAMPUM, PA. (THECOUNT) — Savannah Smith, of Warren, PA, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday morning crash in Wampum, PA.
Smith, 18, was killed following a two-vehicle crash near Wampum in Lawrence County Friday morning.
According to Pennsylvania State officials, Smith was operating a vehicle at the intersection of PA-18 and PA-288, when she failed to stop around 9 a.m. Friday. She then collided with a tri-axle dump truck traveling on State Route 18.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the dump truck was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries, according to WFMJ.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
