SHERMAN, TX. (THECOUNT) — Fayetteville newlyweds, Evan and Sarah Nuessner were involved in a fatal Saturday crash in Sherman, Texas. Evan was discovered deceased in the crash but his wife was nowhere to be found.

According to Sherman Police Department, the couple was traveling in a vehicle from Fayetteville, Arkansas to McKinney, Texas, when they were involved in a crash. Police were dispatched to the scene of the crash and found Evan, 26, dead in the crash – but 26-year-old Sarah (Farr,) of McKinney, Texas, was missing from the scene.

Officials received a call to perform a welfare check on the couple when they failed to arrive at their planned destination. Officers checked the highways and local hotels but were unable to locate them or the vehicle. Sherman police then received a call around 11 a.m. Saturday about a vehicle crash in a culvert of North Highway 75 near Washington Street in Sherman, TX.

Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined the vehicle located in the culvert was the car the couple was traveling in. Evan was located inside the vehicle deceased. But Sarah – was not found at the scene.

There is currently a large scale recovery effort to find Sarah, reports 5NewsOnline.

The details surrounding the incident and the cause of the crash are under investigation.

According to records, the couple exchanged nuptials on October 26, 2019.
