DOTHAN, AL. (THECOUNT) — Cornelius Williams, who was one of the victims of a Thursday Arlington Avenue shooting last Thursday, has died of his injuries in an area hospital, according to Dothan police Saturday morning.
Williams, 35, died from his injuries after he was involved in a fight between two individuals that ended in a shootout.
Williams was among three people from the crowd who were hurt in the exchange, with the other two suffering less serious injuries, reports DothanFirst.
Just before 6:00 p.m. Thursday, gunfire could be heard throughout the 700 block of Arlington Avenue. When officers arrived, they determined that three people had been shot.
Williams was transported by private vehicle to an area hospital where he later passed away from gunshot injuries.
