BIRMINGHAM, AL. (THECOUNT) — The Birmingham VA Medical Center clinic and hospital are currently on lockdown and all appointments have been canceled until further notice, according to reports.
Details are limited at this time but the VA shared the following statement shortly after 2 p.m.
The clinic is located at, VA Hospital Clinic, 7th Avenue South in Birmingham, AL.
“All appointments at the Birmingham VA Medical Center and Birmingham VA Clinic have been cancelled until further notice. The safety of our Veteran patients, guests and staff is first priority, reports WVTM.
We apologize for any inconvenience and will provide updated information as soon as possible.”
