GoFundMe Set Up For Waseca Police Officer Arik Matson Gravely Injured In Monday Shooting

WASECA, MN. (THECOUNT) — A GoFundMe set up for Waseca Police Officer Arik Matson, has raised nearly $40K of its $50K goal as of Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities identified Matson as the officer shot along with a suspect on Monday night during an officer-involved shooting incident in Waseca, Minnesota.

Matson is said to be clinging to life an an area hospital.

The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Waseca Police Officer Arik Matson was shot and gravely injured during the incident, according to a release. Officials said Matson was in critical but stable condition at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minn., as of Tuesday morning, say reports.
