TOMAHAWK, WI. (THECOUNT) — David Erdman and Kurtis Shernell, of Hustisford, Wisconsin, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal snowmobile accident on Sunday at Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk.
Erdman, 31, and Shernell, 27, were killed after their snowmobiles fell through the ice while visiting Lake Nokomis on Sunday.
A third man, a 26-year-old from Sussex, survived in ordeal.
Investigators said the men were snowmobiling near River Road in the town of Nokomis around 3 a.m., reports WSAW.
The 26-year-old man’s snowmobile did break through the ice, but he was able to get out and call 911.
