JANESVILLE, WI. (THECOUNT) — Corvasie Weaver, of Joliet, Illinois, has been identified as the suspect sought over a fatal shooting early Sunday in Janesville, Wisconsin.
“Lil Yayo” Weaver, 24, is accused of opening fire on a 40-year-old man while attending a house party in Janesville overnight.
According to reports, Janesville police responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of West Racine Street around 5 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they discovered a man in the street suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.
Police say, the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Officials believe the men were involved in some type of verbal argument that ended with Weaver shooting the victim.
The victim has not been identified as of Sunday evening.
