AUGUSTA, ME. (THECOUNT) — David Smith and Lisa Pelletier, of Windsor, ME, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal single-vehicle crash in Augusta on Saturday morning.
Smith, 52, and Pelletier, 46, were killed in a single-car crash that occurred early Saturday morning in Augusta.
According to reports, Smith was operating a Toyota Camry on North Belfast Avenue & Pipeline Road in Augusta around 12:30 a.m., when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle was found on its roof indicating a rollover crash.
Smith and Pelletier were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still being investigated by Maine State Police and Augusta police. Augusta police ask anyone with information about the crash to contact them, reports BangorDailyNews.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
