CINCINNATI, OH. (THECOUNT) — Eugene Hafford has been identified as the victim found fatally shot in the Mt. Airy area of Cincinnati in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.
Officials say, Hafford, 29, was found suffering from a gunshot injury to the head around around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday.
The shooting took place around 2:20 a.m. near the Colerain Tower Apartments in the 5300 block of Bahama Terrace, reports WLWT.
Hafford was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
