LA PORTE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Richard D. Reese, of 1003 1st St, La Porte, IN, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash involving a bread delivery truck Monday evening, according to reports.
Reese, 57, was killed after operating a vehicle the wrong-way on the Indiana Toll Road Monday evening.
According to reports, Reese was operating a vehicle traveling westbound in the toll road eastbound lanes when his vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trailer hauling an estimated 20,000 pounds of bread.
The truck driver was not injured in the violent crash.
Reese was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Toxicology reports are pending.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
