LITTLE ROCK, AR. (THECOUNT) — James E. Phillips Jr., has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck on Monday evening while attempting to cross I-30 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
According to Arkansas State Police, Phillips, 64, was crossing I-30 near I-630 West interchange when he was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.
Phillips was in dark clothing when he was hit by a car around 5:44 p.m Monday, reports KATV.
The driver was not injured during the deadly incident.
Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
