SAC CITY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Dalton Royce Goodman of Spencer, IA, has been identified as the suspect arrested in Sac City on attempted murder following a stabbing Monday night in Sac City.
According to the Sac City Police Department, Goodman, 24, was arrested and is being held in the Sac County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
Police responded to reports of a stabbing in the 500 block of South 13th Street shortly before midnight on Monday.
When authorities arrived they found a 35-year-old man on the ground suffering from a stab wound. The victim has not been identified by officials.
The victim was transported to a local hospital before being life-flighted with life-threatening injuries.
Goodman was immediately taken into custody, reports KTIV.
Charges may be upgraded depending on the recovery status of the victim.
