MEDFORD, OR. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Lux, of Medford, Oregon, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by two vehicles on Highway 99 in Medford, according to reports.

Lux, 27, was on-foot when he was run over by two cars on Highway 99 near Glenwood Road early Sunday morning.

According to officials, Lux, for unknown reasons, was in the roadway when he was struck by a GMC Yukon, driven by Tyre Jones on Highway 99. A second vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, driven by Jasmine Turk-Bly, also struck Lux.

Lux was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Multiple agencies responded to this including Medford PD, Phoenix PD, Talent PD, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Fire, Merdy Flights ambulance and ODOT, reports KDVR.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
