WAVERLY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Kimberly Marie Dodds has been identified as the teen killed in a single-vehicle crash in Waverly, Virginia Friday evening, according to reports.
Dodds, 19, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on VA-40 in Waverly late Friday evening.
According to Virginia State Police, deputies responded to a call of a vehicle crash on VA-40 near VA-25 around 11:30 p.m. Friday night. When they arrived, they discovered a vehicle had exited the roadway and rolled over into a group of trees in the town of Waverly.
Dodds was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The victim was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the incident, reports WAVY.
The victim’s family members have been notified by authorities.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
