LIMA, OH. (THECOUNT) — Ke’Vonta Cowan, of Lima, Ohio has been identified as the victim in a fatal Lima shooting Tuesday night, according to Wednesday morning reports.
Cowan, whose age was not provided, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound while in the area of S Kenilworth in Lima around 10:50 p.m.
The Lima Police Department is seeking information from the public surrounding the deadly incident.
According to a statement from police, officers responded to a call of shots fired to 225 S. Kenilworth. When they arrived, Cowan was found suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.
Cowan was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

It marks the sixth homicide of 2019 within the city limits, reports LimaOhio.
The case remains under investigation.
