OZARK, AL. (THECOUNT) — A police officer has been shot multiple times in Ozark around 10:00 p.m. Thursday, according to Friday morning reports.
The shooting occurred near Ozark, which is about 40 minutes northwest of Dothan.
Reports say, the unidentified officer suffered multiple gunshot wounds including a shot to the head.
The officer was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
ALEA and the State Bureau of Investigation are investigating, reports WHNT.
No further information was provided by officials.
