WATERTOWN, CT. (THECOUNT) — Paul Ferguson, 42, has been identified as the deceased suspect who shot two teens, Della Jette and Sterling Jette Jr., dead inside a Watertown home before turning the gun on himself on Tuesday night, police say.

The teens were transported to area hospital where they both were pronounced dead of gunshot injuries shortly after arrival, according to a news release from the Watertown Police Department.

Their mother, identified by WTNH as Danielle Jette, was on the scene when the shootings occurred and called 911, police said. She was not injured, reports MyFox8.

The incident occurred at 1190 Litchfield Road in Watertown, Connecticut, Tuesday before 9:50 p.m.

Police say, they arrived to Litchfield Road on reports of shots fired. Once on scene, they discovered find a teenage girl and boy suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.

Both of teens were transported to Waterbury Hospital with life-threatening injuries. They have since passed away.

Police say the boyfriend of the mother of the teens was found dead inside the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, reports News12.

The Watertown Police Department Detective Division is investigating the incident with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad.

Police say the mother of the teens was uninjured during the incident.

No motive has been provided by officials in the grisly triple-death.

The investigation is ongoing.
