GREENVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — Gail Margaret Christman has been identified as the Greenville, South Carolina woman who was fatally struck by a train Tuesday night.
Christman, 59, of 116 Mulberry St in Greenville, was struck by a northbound train near Irvine Street & Perry Avenue in Greenville, SC, just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a release from the coroner’s office.
Christman was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital by EMS where she was pronounced dead in surgery just after 9 p.m., according to GreenvilleOnline.
Manner of death is not yet known.
An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday.
The case is under investigation by the Greenville Police Department and the coroner’s office.
