Active Shooter Reported Jackson State University On Lockdown Wednesday ‘Seek Shelter Immediately’

JACKSON, MS. (THECOUNT) — Jackson State University officials are reporting an active shooter situation on its campus Wednesday.

School officials said the shooter is operating in a black Honda Accord with license plate MAC-0214.

The campus was placed on lockdown and officials say everyone should seek shelter immediately.

At this point, it’s unclear if anyone has been shot, reports WLBT.

The school is located at, 1400 John R. Lynch St in Jackson, MS.
