LOUISBURG, NC. (THECOUNT) — Jimmy Stallings, of Louisburg, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday vehicle crash, according to reports.
Stallings, 63, was killed in a head-on collision involving another motor vehicle early Saturday morning.
According to Highway Patrol, Stallings was operating a Chevrolet Lumina on US-401, when for unknown reasons, a Lexus traveling in the opposite direction entered his lane. The vehicles collided head-on around 6 a.m. Saturday morning.
The crash happened just after 6 a.m. along US-401 near Ef Cottrell Road, southwest of Louisburg.
Stallings was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the Lexus, who has not been identified by officials, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, reports CBS17.
Charges are pending against the the driver of the Lexus.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
