TOLEDO, OH. (THECOUNT) — Paulette Jackson, of Toledo, Ohio, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Toledo, according to reports.
Jackson, 56, died while on-foot after being struck by a vehicle before 7:39 p.m. Saturday, according to investigators.
Toledo Police say a man driving a 2006 Jeep was headed outbound on the Anthony Wayne Trail when he struck a woman who was standing near the crosswalk at City Park. According to investigators, the driver could not avoid the woman and hit her with the front end of his vehicle, reports ABC13.
Jackson was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma.
The driver remained at the scene. No one was cited in the deadly incident.
