GADSDEN COUNTY, FL (THECOUNT) — Bret Lee Newtson, of Quincy, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning vehicle crash in Gadsden County, according to reports.
Newtson, 57, was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred Saturday around 3:30 a.m. on U.S. 27 in Gadsden County.
A Hyundai Elantra operated by Newtson was traveling on U.S. 27, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over in a grassy area.
Newtson was ejected from the vehicle during the violent crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
FHP was assisted by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office as well as Leon County EMS, reports WCTV.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
