CASS COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office identified Starr Platt, of Fostoria, Ohio, as the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash northeast of Findlay on Monday, according to local reports.

Platt, 38, was killed in a crash that occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 18 and County Road 109 in Cass Township.

The sheriff’s office says, Platt was operating a vehicle on County Road 18 when she collided with a vehicle traveling in opposing lanes.

The force of the impact caused Platt’s vehicle to overturn in a field before coming to rest on its side.

Platt was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Starr was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to a crash report.

The other car came to rest in a culvert.

The driver and passengers of the other involved vehicle were not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation, reports WFIN.
