WEBB CITY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Police were called Monday morning to the offices of Dr. Camille Hostetter, DDS, on reports of shots fired, according to local reports.
When officials arrived, they discovered two victims suffering from apparent gunshot injuries after 9 a.m. on Monday.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot wounds.
It is unclear if 45-year-old Hostetter was involved in the actual shooting.
The office is located near Joplin at, 3100 E Zora St in Webb City, MO.
“We were called to assist medical,” Webb City Police Chief Don Melton told reporters.
“Once we arrived we found two individuals deceased inside. Currently, we are not releasing any more information until next of kin are notified,” reports OzarksFirst.
Witnesses who were in the office at the time said they were ushered back to the waiting room.
Chief Melton says Webb City PD currently has three detectives working on this case. He also tells us no patients were involved.
“Hopefully we will have more information later in the afternoon possibly tomorrow,” the Chief added Monday.
Melton says police there are no outstanding suspects at this time.
