PASADENIA, CA. (THECOUNT) — Just 10 minutes before the deadly Saugus High School shooting in Santa Clarita, a 9-year-old boy was arrested after shooting three classmates with a BB gun he had brought into his elementary school Thursday in Pasadena, California.
The unidentified boy, 9, brought a BB gun pistol to school at Washington Elementary STEM Magnet about 7:30 a.m., and shot three classmates, according to the Pasadena Police Department.
The boy was arrested and then released to his parents as the DA decides if charges will be filed, police said.
Police say they will continue to investigate the incident.
The students required no medical attention, police said.
The school is located at, 1520 N Raymond Ave in Pasadena, CA.
On the same day, just 10 minutes later, Nathaniel “Nate” Berhow opened fire with a handgun, killing at least two of his fellow student and injuring several others. He remains in grave condition at an area hospital.
