BANGOR, ME. (THECOUNT) — Shane Brown, of Hermon, Maine, has been identified as the victim killed in an ATV crash in Bangor on Wednesday evening, according to reports.

Brown, 31, was operating an ATV when he was involved in a fatal crash on Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., says the Bangor PD.

Bangor Police say, Brown was operating an ATV along with another individual on Banair Road, near the Bangor International Airport, when they were involved in a wreck. Both riders were thrown from the 4-wheeler during the violent crash.

Brown was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The identity and the extent of the surviving person’s injuries were not provided by officials.

The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. and a part of Banair Road was closed for several hours Wednesday evening as Bangor Police reconstructed the accident scene, reports NewsCenterMaine.

Bangor Police Dept. Criminal Investigation Division is working with ART to determine the cause of the crash, according to officials.
