HAMILTON, CAN. (THECOUNT) — David Thomson, the suspect wanted in connection with a double homicide in Hamilton, Ontario, has been found dead.
Police say they confirmed early Monday morning, Thomson, 35, was found dead at a hotel in Brantford.
The two victims have been identified as Donald Lowe, 62, and Cheryl Nicholl, 32, both of Hamilton.
They were found dead on Saturday night after investigators were called to a townhouse complex on Towercrest Drive by a member of the public to check on the well-being of the residents in the home, reports TorontoCityNews.
With assistance from Brantford police, they secured the immediate area around the hotel. A short time later, Thomson was found dead in his hotel room.
Hamilton police say they are not looking for any other suspects in connection with the double murder and the province’s Special Investigations Unit have invoked their mandate.
Lowe and Nicholl had been shot to death.
A post-mortem is expected to be conducted on Monday morning.
