FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Knudsen of Grove City, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Franklin County on Monday night, according to reports.

Knudsen, 20, was traveling on a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he was involved in a fatal crash near Georgesville Road around 8 p.m. Monday night, say officials.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 8 p.m. Monday on West Broad Street in Franklin County after the driver of a Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling westbound on US-40 at an extremely high rate of speed.

Police say, Knudsen’s motorcycle collided with the driver’s side 2008 silver Chevrolet Malibu that was exiting a parking lot and onto Broad Street.

Knudsen was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

Investigators say it is unknown at this time whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash.
