Anchorage ‘Gaslight Bar’ Employee Fighting For Life Following Saturday Shooting ‘Serious Condition’

ANCHORAGE, AK. (THECOUNT) — Anchorage police say a shooting occurred inside the Gaslight Bar Saturday night, leaving one employee suffering serious gunshot injuries, according to reports.

Police say the responded to a call of shots fired at the nightspot located near the Nesbett Courthouse Saturday night around 1:20 a.m.

Initial indications determined a group of patrons inside the bar engaged in a physical altercation when one of the participants brandished a handgun and began “waving it around,” according to police.

As the adult male employee attempted to intervene in the fight, he was shot once in the upper body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

The gaslight is located at, 721 West 4th Avenue in Anchorage, AK.

There have been no arrests and there is no suspect information to release at this time. The number of people involved in the disturbance, and the reason for it, are still under investigation, reports Nixie.
