SHEVLIN, MN. (THECOUNT) — Michael William Norgaard, residing in Bagley, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Shevlin, MN, house fire Thursday evening, according to reports.
The house fire in Shevlin Minnesota claimed the life of Mike Norgaard, 36, on Thursday after 6:30 p.m., according to a release from the Clearwater County Sheriff’s office.
Officials confirm that Norgaard came home to discover that his house was full of smoke. He called his sister to have her call 911 and said he was going into the house to get his dogs out. His body was discovered inside the residence by firefighters, reports ValleyNewsLive.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No foul play is suspected.
An autopsy is scheduled to be held in Grand Forks and the case remains under investigation.
