ARCADIA, IN. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Etchison has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night farming accident in Arcadia, according to reports.
Etchison, 47, died Wednesday night in a farming accident north of Arcadia after trying to climb onto a moving combine harvester.
According to Thursday morning reports, Etchison lost his footing and fell underneath one of the wheels.
Etchison was pronounced dead at the scene on blunt force trauma.
Detectives and deputies working the incident say a local farmer was driving the harvester in a dark, dusty soybean field near 274th Street and Ott Road and decelerating to turn a corner when Etchison tried to climb on shortly after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night, reports WTHR.
