COOSA COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Michael Johnston has been identified as the Equality Volunteer Fire Department volunteer firefighter killed in a vehicle crash Friday afternoon while on-duty on his way to a call, according to reports.
Johnston, whose age was not provided, was a volunteer firefighter from Coosa County when he died Friday afternoon on his way to a call.
According to reports, Johnston was on his way to the Speed Community on Highway 231 South when his truck overturned, reports WSFA.
Johnston was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating.
