CLARK, SD. (THECOUNT) — Brittany Ann Monson has been identified as the victim killed in a head-on crash near Clark, South Dakota, according to reports.
Monson, 29, was killed Tuesday morning in head-on crash on U.S. Highway 212, two miles east of Clark in northeastern South Dakota.
According to a crash report, Monson was operating a vehicle on Highway 212, when for unknown reasons, she crossed centerlines, and exited her side of the roadway into opposing lanes.
The vehicle then collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by a 47 year-old man who was treated for minor injuries at at area hospital.
Monson was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries.
There were no passengers in either vehicle, reports KFGO.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the violent crash.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
