CORPUS CHRISTI, TX. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Quintanilla, an educator at Hamlin Middle School in Corpus Christi, was arrest after being accused of sexually assaulting a child, according to Wednesday evening reports.
According to Nueces County jail officials, Quintanilla, 47, surrendered Wednesday afternoon.
The social studies teacher is accused of sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between an educator and student. His bond has been set at $300,000. It is unknown if the crime occurred on campus.
Corpus Christi ISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke said he could not release any details on Quintanilla’s arrest because the investigation into his case is ongoing, reports KRIS.
The school’s website still listed Quintanilla as one of its social studies teacher.
