CATAWBA COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Gonzalo Salinas–Cishero has been identified as the suspect in a grisly double-murder Sunday in Conover, NC, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office reported on Monday.
Salinas–Cishero, 24, was arrested in connection to the shooting death of mother and son, 43-year-old Brandi Rodriguez and her 24-year-old son, Jessie Rodriguez, on Whitetail Circle, in Conover, NC, according to reports.

According to deputies, Salinas–Cishero was charged with two counts of murder in the death of the pair of family members.
Deputies said the shooting happened late Sunday night at a home on WhiteTail Cir.
Salinas–Cishero is currently being held in the Catawba County Detention Center and has not been issued a bond, reports WCNC.
The motive in the deadly incident remains under investigation.
