LILLIAN, AL. (THECOUNT) — Christian Coleton Beech and Russell Joseph Drummond, has been identified as the victims in a triple-fatal crash involving a lumber truck in Lillian, Alabama, according to reports. The truck driver, 48-year-old Sheldon Ray Liddell, of Pensacola, also died in the violent wreck.

Beech and Drummond, both 19, were involved in a Thursday morning collision on U.S. 98 on the Lillian Bridge, which links Florida and Alabama by crossing over Perdido Bay.

The crash occurred after 4:30 a.m. after the teen’s Chevrolet Impala, for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines and into opposing traffic striking a large freight truck hauling lumber, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The Impala was heading east on U.S. 98 heading from Alabama into Florida while the truck, a Peterbilt flatbed truck, was heading west toward the bridge. As the Impala crossed the bridge, it crossed the centerline into the westbound lane and crashed head-on into the truck, according to FHP. The freight truck subsequently caught fire, and the lumber it was hauling fell from the flatbed onto the road, blocking both lanes, reports pnj.

Both teens were ejected from the vehicle during the violent collision.

They were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Liddell was also pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
