OUACHITA PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Alice Heckard, of Monroe, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal domestic disturbance Sunday night, according to reports.
Heckard, 36, was shot dead in an incident occurring on Leslie Lane in Monroe on Sunday evening.
Officials say they responded to calls of shots fired Sunday evening in the Town and Country neighborhood, according the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
A spokesman for the sheriff’s office told KNOE the shooting happened around 5 p.m. Sunday evening on Leslie Lane.
Deputies believe the shooting is the result of domestic violence.
A suspect or a motive in the deadly incident have not been provided by officials.
