Mark D. Lerner Pens Open Letter to Nationals Fans Wednesday

WASHINGTON. DC: (THECOUNT) — The Managing Principal Owner and Vice Chairman Mark D. Lerner penned an open letter to Washington Nationals Fans on Wednesday.

Dear Washington Nationals Fans,

Wow — what a game! It was truly a night to remember and hopefully the beginning of a long, exciting October. These guys have shown so much grit, determination, and passion for the game — they just do not give up! While getting to this point was not easy, and sometimes it wasn’t pretty, the end result is a truly hard-earned opportunity to compete for the 2019 Championship.

Thank you for packing Nationals Park last night. The energy was unbelievable! To look out over the sea of red, waving rally towels and hear you cheering and on your feet until the final out — was an amazing scene!

I sincerely hope you will join me at Nationals Park on Sunday when the team returns home to play the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game Three of the NLDS. We will need to all kick it up a notch in support of this group of players who continue to give it their all, who never give up, who make our region proud.

Come early and wear your Nats red as we Stay in the Fight together all the way through October!
Sincerely,

Mark D. Lerner, Managing Principal Owner and Vice Chairman
