NORWALK, CT. (THECOUNT) — Chase Ortiz, one of five teens hospitalized following a vehicle crash in Norwalk, CT on Sunday, has passed away from his injuries, according to Wednesday morning reports.
Ortiz, 19, died from injuries sustained in a car crash on I-95 in Darien. The crash also killed 19-year-old Victor Emanuel Deleon, who died hours after being transported from the scene.
Three other teens were injured in the violent crash. Their names have not been released.
According to reports, the Volkswagen Passat was traveling on I-95, when for unknown reasons, it crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. It then collided with a large tree near Exit 10 on Sunday.
Two other passengers and the driver of the car suffered serious injuries.
Chase Ortiz, 19, of Norwalk, died as a result of the crash, State Police confirmed Wednesday, reports News12.
