LONG BEACH, CA. (THECOUNT) — Judi Yourman of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, has been identified as the victim killed in a freak accident on the 405 freeway Sunday, says the California Highway Patrol.

Yourman, 61, was killed after a loose tire smashed the windshield of her BMW while she traveled on the 405 Freeway in Long Beach Sunday, according to reports.

The CHP says, Yourman was operating a BMW in the northbound lanes of the 405 freeway around 1 p.m. near E Wardlow Roadwhen a tire from a Dodge Ram in the southbound lanes came off, reports ABC7.

The tire jumped the center median and struck Yourman’s BMW, officials said.

Yourman was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma cause by the tire and resulting crash.

A man in her passenger seat was hospitalized with unknown injuries. The passenger was not immediately identified.

The incident remains under investigation.

Yourman had a BA from University of California at Santa Barbara in psychology and an MBA in marketing management. She began her career in New York City as an importer/marketer for wines & spirits. She then started her own business “Better World Promotions”, worked for Amy Zimmerman (her sponsor) as an office assistant, and now partially retired does monthly bookkeeping for a couple of clients.
